Steam cleaning
Steam works by temperature rather than by volume of product. It dissolves grease, gets into grout and joints and leaves very little moisture behind - which makes it the right choice where you would rather not use much chemistry at all: kitchens, bathrooms and rooms children use.

- kitchen worktops, extractor hoods, ovens and the space behind appliances
- grout between tiles, on floors and on walls
- toilets, basins and showers, shower enclosures and taps
- window and door frames, handles, switches
- awkward joints and edges

How the clean works
Step 1: Choosing the tool
Narrow tools for grout and joints, wider ones for flat surfaces. The choice depends on the material.
Step 2: Dissolving
The Kärcher SG 4/4 produces pressurised steam that breaks down grease and limescale deposits in place.
Step 3: Lifting it off
The loosened soiling is wiped or drawn away immediately, while it is still warm.
Step 4: Finishing
The surface is wiped down and dried. Very little moisture is left.

What to expect
Steam removes deposits and grease. It does not change the colour of grout that has been permanently stained, and it does not repair a failed silicone seal.
Some materials do not take high temperature - untreated wood, heat-sensitive components, some laminates. We check the surface first and suggest a different method where steam is not appropriate.
